Tim Flannery is a writer, scientist and explorer. He as published many scientific papers and over a dozen books, including "The External Frontier", and the award-winning bestsellers, "The Future Eaters" and "Throwim Away Leg" and most recently the acclaimed "The Weather Makers".
A leading thinker in environmental science, Professor Flannery spent a year teaching at Harvard, seven years as the director of the South Australian Museum and several years as chairman of both the State Science Council and Sustainability Roundtable.
2007 saw Professor Flannery named as Australian of the Year, enabling him to bring public and Government attention to the importance of sustainability and the risk of climate change.
